Barcelona have been hit by a crisis as they attempt to sign Leeds United star Raphinha, according to MARCA.
The Spanish outlet have reported on their website that the Catalan giants can sign no players as things stand, including the Whites wizard and Robert Lewandowski.
It is shared that there is still huge debt at the Nou Camp, and financial fair play rulings are still hanging over the head of the club with no resolutions.
Joan Laporta is close to taking drastic measures by selling players that could bring in a decent figure as this crisis continues at Barcelona.
Leeds will not mind one little bit at all, as the superstar, currently away with Brazil, will be going nowhere as things stand at Elland Road.
It is suggested that several unnamed deals were agreed upon, but the funds simply aren’t available to get the deal over the line as things stand.
Marca also suggests that some players are prepared to wait for their move to the Nou Camp, but again, it doesn’t mention if one of those is Raphinha.
Stuck.
One man who could be left very red-faced by all of this is Deco.
The agent has appeared to tell his client and Barcelona that this deal can be completed for very cheap, but that was never going to be the case after Leeds remained in the Premier League.
The ball is very firmly in our court, and why should we lower our demands just because Barcelona have entered negotiations for a deal knowing they have no money?
Signing the best players requires a lot of money, and if you don’t have it, you may as well call it off now.
Leeds could use this as ammunition to get Raphinha to sign a new long-term contract at Elland Road, and if big money is offered, we can’t see why he would turn that down.
Barcelona are currently in crisis and as things stand, the Brazilian wizard is going nowhere.
