Leeds United are set to open blockbuster contract talks with Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, according to 90min.
The online source have reported that the Whites are now hopeful of keeping hold of their star men after securing their Premier League safety with that crazy win at Brentford.
It is shared that Leeds will need to hand both new blockbuster deals with significant pay-rises in order to keep both at Elland Road going into next season.
Phillips and Raphinha are said to hold lofty standings in the game, but no one will know that more than Leeds.
The Whites have had to deal with the pressure of potential relegation and losing their best players for months now yet still stood tall when it all mattered.
While all this was happening, constant reports suggested Raphinha to Barcelona was a done deal, and that is certainly not the case, especially now his relegation clause has vanished.
The Yorkshire Pirlo has also been linked with Newcastle, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Manchester United just to name a few, but there is surely only one place he wants to be now.
Main priority.
Andrea Radrizzani would be forgiven instantly for his lack of transfer work this season if he could get these deals over the line, and that has to be the priority.
We have already seen a deal for RB Salzburg star basically agreed, with the fee and personal terms sorted according to Fabrizio Romano.
That is a brilliant start, but adding Raphinha and Phillips on new long-term deals worth £100,000-per-week or more has to be next on the agenda.
The Brazilian is one where we would also accept big money for him, and that can be reinvested if that is what he truly wants, but he saw the love he has at this club yesterday, and that has factor into his decision.
As for Phillips, he has admitted he wants to stay, now it is just about putting the money in front of him that he deserves.
